Klid is built on the work of many people who share their software and sounds openly. Thank you. Each part below keeps its own licence; the full texts are linked, and they are served from klidpiano.com together with Klid itself.
The piano sound engine: FluidSynth
Klid plays its piano with FluidSynth 2.4.6, compiled for web browsers by the fluidsynth-emscripten project. Both are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1.
- The LGPL part is one file,
vendor/libfluidsynth-2.4.6.js. Klid serves it exactly as fluidsynth-emscripten publishes it, unmodified, and loads it separately from the rest of Klid, so you can study it, change it and run Klid with your own build of it. - Source code: FluidSynth at github.com/FluidSynth/fluidsynth (version 2.4.6), and the browser build at github.com/jet2jet/fluidsynth-emscripten.
- If you would like the exact source of the build Klid ships, write to hi@klidpiano.com and we will send it to you, at no more than the cost of sending it. This offer stands for at least three years from the last time Klid ships this file.
Klid talks to FluidSynth through js-synthesizer 1.13, © jet, under the BSD 3-Clause licence.

Everything else
The grand piano 3D model is used under a commercial licence, and Klid’s built-in backgrounds were made for Klid; neither is open source, and section 5 of the Terms applies to them. Spotted something missing here? Tell us at hi@klidpiano.com.
