Your music and files never leave your device. Klid runs in your browser. Your MIDI files, recordings, logos, backgrounds and exported videos are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
Klid is run by Lior Goldberg, Israel. Questions about privacy: hi@klidpiano.com.
What is stored on your device
- Your Klid Pro licence key and a marker that it was checked, if you activate Pro.
- Your own logo, as a small image, if you add one.
- Some small settings, so the app remembers your choices.
This lives in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we measure
To learn whether Klid works and which parts are used, the website uses one tool:
- Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and events such as “an export was started”. It sets no cookies. The events carry counts and settings such as the frame shape, the version of Klid, and whether the visit is one of our own tests or a beta tester using a beta pass, never file names or music. It does not follow you between sites.
Buying Klid Pro
Payments are processed by Polar, who is the seller of record. Polar collects your payment details, which we never see, and passes us what we need to support you: your email address, your order and your country. When you paste a licence key into Klid, your browser sends that key to Polar to check that it is valid.
Diagnostic reports
When an export stops early or comes out without sound, Klid keeps a short report on your device and offers to send it. It holds your browser and graphics chip model, your screen size, the export’s settings and how long each step took — never your music, your file names or anything about you. If Klid itself hits an unexpected error, it can make a similar short report: the error, where in Klid it happened and what the app was doing. The first time there is a report, Klid asks whether to send it; if you choose Always send reports, later ones are sent by themselves. You can change this at any time with Send problem reports automatically in the Data tab, and you can always save a report as a file instead, or dismiss it. Sent reports are stored privately with our host, Vercel, and used only to fix Klid.
Feedback
The Feedback button opens a short form in Klid. What you write is sent privately to us and stored with our host, Vercel, together with your browser, system, screen size, graphics chip and the version of Klid, so you don’t have to describe your computer; your email address only if you give it, so we can answer. We use it only to improve Klid and to reply to you.
Other services that see your visit
- Vercel hosts the site, and like any host it sees technical details of each request, such as your IP address.
- Google (Forms, if you send feedback) and Polar, as described above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hi@klidpiano.com. We only keep support and order details for as long as we need them to help you and to meet our legal duties.
Children
Klid is not aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change how Klid handles data, we will update this page and the date above.
